Official Summer Soundtrack ‘11, Part 2: Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes

I have been thoroughly enjoying the gorgeous, orchestral sounds of the Portland, Oregon group, Fleet Foxes, with the release of their second LP in early May.  The album has taken a suddenly new form as I have settled into life on the East Coast.  These anthems suited my beach bum mindset when I was home on vacation in San Diego.  I now find an appropriate feel with the buzzing concrete jungle that I now experience on a daily basis.  My current favorite tune off the CD, “Battery Kinzie”, is the perfect accompaniament playing in my head as I frolick through the streets of Philadelphia.
